Frank Serafine is an award-winning American sound effects designer, sound supervisor, composer, and sound editor who created the sounds for hundreds of movies including Poltergeist II: The Other Side, Tron, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and The Hunt for Red October which won an Academy Award for Best Effects, Sound Effects Editing.[1][2][3][4] He also was sound designer for several video games including Tron (video game) and Grand Theft Auto.[5]

Serafine shared the Academy Award for sound design work he did on The Hunt for Red October.[6]
